Product Overview:BaySpec's WaveCapture™ fiber Bragg grating interrogation analyzers (FBGA) are revolutionizing the fiber sensing world offering, for the first time, excellent wavelength accuracy, ultra-low power consumption, small form factor, fast (sub-ms) response time, no moving parts, and lifetime calibration.
Devices interrogate multiple wavelengths for precise FBG sensor-system strain or temperature measurements. They are now widely deployed in coal mine safety systems, oil and gas down-hole drilling, electrical power grid-monitoring systems, fire prevention systems, power plant monitoring systems, wind turbine monitoring, defense and homeland security systems, structural health monitoring systems, and many other applications.
The WaveCapture™ Series employ a highly efficient Volume Phase Grating (VPG®) as the spectral dispersion element, and an ultra-sensitive InGaAs array detector, thereby providing high-speed parallel processing and continuous spectral measurements. A fiber optic input is provided based on customer’s preference. Both the raw data and the processed data are available to the host.
